I loved surrounding myself with stones so much that I needed to find a way to carry them without creating huge bulges in my pockets! Designing and making jewelry was a natural and fun creative outlet. All designs are original and nearly all have authentic gemstones and/or pearl or shell elements (which carry distinctly feminine energies). Another great source is Love is in the Earth: A Kaleidoscope of Crystals by Melody, whose education was in Mathematics and who is now world-renowned for her knowledge and teachings on crystals. This is the coolest stone! In addition to its beautiful chatoyant (think glimmery like tiger's eye) and pleochroic (displays different colors from different angles) properties, Melody writes in Love is in the Earth: "Answers to problems of all magnitudes seem to come very quickly to the user. It can enhance discriminating judgment, helping one to 'stand up' for what is 'right' in one's moral structure." Who can't use a little help these days in sorting through the clutter to get to what's truly "real" for ourselves? I can't wait to see how the piece turns out!
