That store visit was the conscious beginning of my love of stones and subsequent exploration of their energetic properties.  Of their healing capacities, I was unaware at the time.  But I started exploring and learning more about them as I was took classes in SRT, Reiki and Reconnective Healing.  I bought The Book of Stones: Who They Are and What They Teach by Robert Simmons and Naisha Ahsian.  Images of stones would come to me in my meditations and I could clearly “see” their color, clarity and yes, even hardness.  Actual names of stones that I was unfamiliar with would repeat in my mind.  Of course, each time these things occurred, I would find the stone in my new book and lo and behold, its properties were exactly what I was needing at that time.  Going through a rough patch and feeling down – Rhodochrosite will fix you right up.  Need to speak Truth to Power in a tense office situation – Larimar will be of great assistance.  And so it continued, and each time, I would purchase a pendant or beads of that particular stone online.  I now have about 130 different kinds, not all of the ones listed in the book (some are quite rare and expensive!); but I “attuned” myself to each one on its arrival and I now have a gemstone energy “repertoire” of about 130 stones.  For the ones that I don’t have, when they come up in healings, Spirit “downloads” them for me (my pendulum spins during the process and stops when it’s done).  I am simply a channel – as is the case for all of my healing modalities.  Spirit does the work; I simply hold the stone and direct the energy as Spirit guides me.  The Gemstone Resonance Healing is a little different in that it’s targeting a specific issue that we can understand and acknowledge (by checking my books), whereas Reiki and Reconnective Healing go where they’re needed, but neither I nor the client know exactly where that is. 

This appears to be effective and I’m personally thrilled to be able to put my love of stones to such worthy employment!
